Dear backers,
As you know the past few months have been difficult times for everyone and we are trying to adjust as fast as we can. Our production team in China had to be reduced which has caused delays in the production of the pieces.
Every week we have been able to produce between 150-280 pieces. Right now most of the polished pieces are ready for their delivery. The black and chromatic Anti Oloids are in process and our team expects to deliver them soon. For the brushed pieces, since it is a manual process it's taking more time to finish the pieces. If someone wishes to change their order from brushed to polished, please send us a message and we can ship it right away.

Dear backers,
This is just a quick message to keep you updated with the final pieces of the production.
Our machining partners are catching up with all the pending job they had from the quarantine. But they are committed to working hard and being especially careful with the finish details.
We wanted to share with you some production pictures of our project. These are Anti Oloids ready for the finishing process, which is the last stage in which they remove the machining marks and give them a smooth finish.

Good news from China!

Dear backers,
Great news! Production is back on track! We are very relieved to know everyone on the team is safe and sound, and they have notified us they are now able to resume operations. We really appreciate the extra effort our team in China is taking to fulfill the Antioloid project as soon as possible.
While they were absent we made a timeline to compensate for the delays, and everything should be ready to ship in 6 weeks. We also took this time to ensure better quality control so you will all receive your pieces in great condition. We are truly grateful for your understanding and support during this difficult situation, and we are excited for you to get them very soon!
We also wanted to tell you about an extremely cool product that just launched here on Kickstarter, SANDSARA is an amazing Kinetic Sculpture, built by a friend of ours :)
Before being full time in Matter Collection, Maura (who is now in charge of operations) was working in an early version of SANDSARA. When she left, her partner Ed took on the project and it and launched it today!

Production update

Dear backers,
We just wanted to keep you updated about the production progress. Yesterday our team leaders in China were finally able to return to Dongguan, the city where the factory is located.
At present, they have to stay at home, but they'll be back to work as soon as the government lets them resume operations.
This situation delayed our shipping schedule. But our priority is to protect the health of our team and avoid the spread of the virus.
We used this time to work with our crew and find a way to ensure the quality of our pieces. So we decided to partner up with a 3rd party company to establish a second quality control checkpoint. Now the factory will check the items first, and then the new inspector will do a second revision. This way, none of the pieces will even leave the factory if they have imperfections.
Remember we will re-process and send you a replacement piece if you receive a defective one. We have already processed the orders with replacement shapes to the backers that have reported issues. If there is a manufacturing defect in your order, please send us a picture to [email protected] so that we can take care of it.
